Education should not be confined to traditional academic pathways
Mr. Chan has long believed that as technology advances and industries transform, fields such as aviation, logistics, and engineering offer the next generation far greater possibilities. He hopes to help students explore diverse pathways early, broaden their horizons, and establish their own direction through practical action.
Career Exploration Centre
Since the 2020–2021 academic year, Mr. Chan has partnered with TWGHs Li Yun Tin Memorial Secondary School to establish a dedicated Career Exploration Centre. This facility provides students with hands-on exposure to aviation, technology, and engineering careers, helping them discover pathways beyond conventional academic routes.
STEAM & Aviation Training
The Foundation promotes STEAM and aviation-related learning activities, enabling students to participate in flight simulation, competition training, and overseas experiences. These programmes cultivate focus, problem-solving ability, and the courage to embrace challenges — essential qualities for the innovators of tomorrow.
Cambridge Pi Wars
The Foundation sponsored three professional STEM tutors from Malaysia to train teachers and students in Raspberry Pi programming and robotics. Ten students subsequently travelled to Cambridge University to compete in the Pi Wars competition, placing seventh against teams from around the world — a testament to what young people can achieve when given the right opportunities.
Innovation Curriculum
A school-based innovation curriculum introduces junior secondary students to systematic science and engineering education, laying a strong foundation for further studies and career planning. By integrating technology into the learning experience from an early age, students develop the skills and confidence to pursue careers in emerging industries.
Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, explore the world, and chart their own course — regardless of background or circumstance.
