HKBU Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Fund
In 2022, Mr. Chan donated HK$1 million to Hong Kong Baptist University to establish the Chan Shu Yin Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Fund. The fund supports research into post-COVID-19 conditions (long COVID) through traditional Chinese medicine, reflecting Mr. Chan's personal belief in the efficacy of Chinese medicine and his commitment to advancing healthcare in Hong Kong.
The donation was inspired by Mr. Chan's discovery of HKBU's role in establishing Hong Kong's first Chinese medicine hospital at Tseung Kwan O — a project he encountered during a visit to the nearby Clearwater Bay golf course.
Health Action Magazine
Founded in 2006, Health Action is a quarterly publication distributed free of charge at clinics and petrol stations across Hong Kong. Through expert interviews and medical articles, the magazine bridges the gap between healthcare professionals and the public, making vital health information accessible to all.
